    Speaker Bio:

    Kate Dunne has 12 years’ experience as a lecturer on the Bachelor of Science (HONS) Programme in Furniture Wood Technology at the National Centre for Excellence in Furniture Design and Technology, GMIT Letterfrack. In this role, Kate has lectured in the areas of Operations Management, and Automation and Control. She also has had extensive involvement in the area of student supervision at postgraduate master’s level, undergraduate level 8 major project, and level 7 industrial placements. Other areas at GMIT Letterfrack Kate has been involved with include a number Irish Design 2015 projects, the development of blended learning Programmes, Programme Secretary, and managing an Academic Writing Centre.
    Prior to joining GMIT, Kate held a position at NUI Galway as project manager for a number of European funded research projects’ with partners across Europe and China to develop a Partnership Establishment Management (PEM) framework. Kate holds a PhD in Engineering and a Master’s degree in Engineering Science.
