    Presentation Title:

Developing a Smart Living Approach in Neath Port Talbot in South Wales

    Presentation Synopsis:

In May this year Jacobs undertook a scoping and feasibility study to investigate and provide an understanding of how Neath Port Talbot County Borough Council  could achieve the effective implementation of smart/low carbon technologies  and dissemination of practices throughout the Authority and ultimately within Wales. The principle aim was to scope key themed areas which will use “Smart” innovative/novel technical applications to demonstrate benefits that can accrue to Neath Port Talbot residents, communities and businesses.  The study undertook comparisons between the range of innovative technology applications within themed areas to determine the best solutions to enhance the quality of life of residents and support business growth.  In this presentation Alan will outline the findings of this innovative approach to public service delivery.
